Another extreme empty nesting adventure is about to begin! This time, we're headed halfway around the globe to Indochina to explore the vast beauty of Vietnam and Cambodia. After a 16-hour flight to Doha that departs late this evening, we'll fly tomorrow night to Ho Chi Minh City for our first stop. Three days later, we board Uniworld's Mekong Jewel for a 7-day cruise up the Mekong River and explore the villages that line the lush Mekong Delta landscape. Siem Reap and its famous temples will be our next two-day stop, followed by a short flight to Hanoi, where we will have three additional days to explore. Our expedition concludes with three nights in picturesque Ha Long Bay.
As you can imagine, this trip includes a jam-packed agenda of sightseeing and experiences. Coupled with what may be less-than-ideal internet connectivity, writing a daily blog may prove challenging. Plus, I simply want to be "in the moment" and take in all that this part of the world offers us.
I plan to play it by ear, but I'm leaning heavily toward delaying the writing and posting of my daily blog until our return. I do plan, however, to regularly post pics on Facebook and Instagram! I hope you'll follow along.
Stay tuned...we'll share our experiences soon. Chúc mừng!
Have a great trip. I will cheer as loud as i can!!!
